Habitat Requirements
    Soil Preferences: Very adaptable, can tolerate acidic to alkaline, gravelly, sandy, silt or clay
    Exposure: Full Sun to little shade
    Water: Fair drought tolerance but really likes wet feet, more riparian

Maintenance characteristics
    Clipping branches that are too low, clean up after windstorm
    Gypsy Moth, Crown Gall, Willow Scab, Black Canker, Bagworm, Willow Leaf Beetle
    The wood is strong and flexible
